Nusa Lembongan - an island dream

Last February I stayed in Indonesia to design beautiful jewellery for Melonseed and get inspiration for new designs for my surf covers. My little secret escape from all the hustle and bustle in Bali is Nusa Lembongan. I really fell in love with the waves, tranquility, friendliness and beauty of the island. People here appear honest, very welcoming and warm-hearted. Dedication in form of altars on the houses, streets or beaches is a daily part of the locals life. Little palm leave baskets filled with flowers, coloured rice, incense sticks and other gifts can be seen everywhere. In ceremonies and street parades of music, colour and style the whole island presents their deeply-rooted devotion to show that there is a deeply-felt attachement to a higher power.

The Lembongan life is all about devotion to their deity, bringing balance and a healthy connection to earth to their lives. Wouldn`t that be a good example to follow?
